Review: Better Than a Crown (Valerie Comer)

Book Three of the Christmas in Montana series was so good! I enjoyed seeing another Miss Snowflake competition come together, this time told through Heather and Levi’s behind-the-scenes experiences. Their shared time also included caring for Levi’s niece Shelby, who stole the spotlight every time she appeared. Loved her!

Other highlights of the tale (in random order to avoid spoilers): the symphony, brownies (yum!), a fancy restaurant, and two adorable Chinese girls!

Check out the entire series and enjoy all the excitement in Helena, Montana!

Currently reading and recently read…

The Resolution for Women by Priscilla Shirer – Going slowly to soak it in, really good!

Not sure what to read for fiction. Started Scoop by Rene Gutteridge, and wasn’t hooked. Same for Deep Dixie by Annie Jones.

And recently:

Island Girl by Sandra Byrd – picked this for school and enjoyed it so much! I’ll post my review that was a class activity.

To Get to You by Joanne Bischof – also for school, loved it! I need to make a video for class to promote it, so I’ll post that in the future!

Happy reading!

“It’s a run-by quoting!”

Pardon me, but I think the movie “Mrs. Doubtfire” is asking to be watched. And I discovered one day while looking for clips of it that it’s not appropriate to share with the young viewers of my house. Bummer.

Anyway… I never thought I’d mix Robin Williams with PEI’s own Lucy Maud Montgomery, but now I have, because this post is actually supposed to be about Maud’s words! Here they are:

“It’s not what the world holds for you, it’s what you bring to it.”

And… think about it for a while. Let that one settle in to your mind and change your worldview. I dare you!
