I haven’t blogged as much as I want lately. Supposed to be living up to the word “loquacious” in this blog’s title, yet there isn’t much verbosity here. 😉
Here’s a sort of update with reasons for my blogging absence, perhaps some excuses too and other activities that fill my days:
– Baby! Alex has had a cold in the past week, so that makes him ask for more attention, and his daytime sleep has been shortened, possibly due to congestion. His nights have just gotten better, though, so maybe we’re turning a corner. Oh, and there was the matter of four new teeth in September too!
– Future Learn. I’ve been taking free courses on various subjects, starting with “Literature of the English Country House.” This is fun but the more courses that catch my eye, the less time I have for other pursuits online!
– Older kids at home for a loooong summer. 😉 School started late this year, but they’re now both going for full days. I’m using some of the freed-up time to organise and some to entertain Alex since his brothers aren’t around for that purpose!
– Exercise. I’ve been walking more since school began, a bit faster paced on my own even as I push a stroller. (I have a second-hand Zooper that I love! Bit too bulky for taking in the car, though, so there’s still a slim folding model in the vehicle.)
I’m hoping to add Mother Goose at the library to this list, and visits to StrongStart at the school (a free playgroup designed to get kids used to the classroom setting). Those will be Alex’s social activities, provided the timing works out around whatever nap schedule he wishes to set. 😉
Oh, and there’s always reading, too. I have a review to post very soon for Tyndale and then I’ll pick another book from them. In the meantime, I’ve started a Doctor Who book (with the Ponds!) and do have a couple print books waiting that I should get to if I can manage to get away from the more convenient e-reader…
Don’t forget that November is National Novel Writing Month as well. My brain is pondering what to work on for the challenge, which I enjoy doing each year.
