Read-a-thon review #20!
This was a good third book in the series about Canadian disasters. The story was really good, probably more complex with the plot than the previous two. It did sound like it would be the last novel and I’m hoping the author will reconsider that decision because I enjoy learning history in this way!
My summary of the plot (since the book descriptions online include spoilers): Jolene and her twin brother have travelled to the Great Lakes with their father and grandfather, who are collecting information about the Great Storm of 1913 for the family’s museum. Jolene travels back to 1913, where she meets a mysterious girl. Meanwhile “at home” in the RV campground, she struggles with finding a hobby or extracurricular activity she’s passionate about, plus she befriends a stray dog that’s mistakenly labelled vicious.
